From Neuruppin via Walsleben and Gottberg to Wildberg

From Brückenstraße in Alt Ruppin
this cycle route runs via Kränzlin,
Walsleben, Gottberg and
Kerzlin to Wildberg.

The route connects several villages
west of Neuruppin and
offers beautiful views along the way of the
rural surroundings of the Ruppiner Land.

The cycle route begins at the Brückenstraße in Alt Ruppin and
leads out of the town into the rural
landscape west of the district town.

Via Kränzlin it continues to Walsleben and
then via Gottberg and Kerzlin to Wildberg.

Kränzlin is a traditional village
on the Ruppiner Platte and
was first mentioned in documents as early as 1291.
The village is closely connected with the history of the
Ruppiner Land.

Theodor Fontane also knew Kränzlin and
visited the village several times.

The route then continues to Walsleben.
The village lies on the Ruppiner Platte, and
the Temnitz flows through its municipal area.
Among the sights worth seeing is
the listed village church.
The present church building dates
from the late 16th century.

Another interesting place along the route is Gottberg. The village church there is a fieldstone building from the 13th century. This distinctive structure is one of the historic reminders of the small villages along this cycle route.

Via Kerzlin the route finally continues to Wildberg. Along this section, fields, small settlements and open landscapes define the scenery. The route is therefore particularly suitable for cyclists who want not only to travel from one place to the next, but also to discover the villages and landscapes west of Neuruppin.

Notes

The route is not a circular tour,
but a connection from Neuruppin to Wildberg.
For the return journey, the route can be
ridden in the opposite direction or
combined with other sections to create a
longer tour.

Tip: It is worth allowing
a little extra time along the way for the historic village churches and
the small village centres.
