Boltenmühle Restaurant
Boltenmühle is one of the well-known excursion destinations in the Ruppiner Schweiz.
Theodor Fontane already mentioned the place in a poem
about the Ruppiner Schweiz, writing:
“Who can say, when wandering through the Ruppiner Schweiz,
where its magic has the greatest effect?
Could it be Boltenmühle?”
Frederick the Great is also said to have appreciated Boltenmühle’s special setting:
“Truly, if I were not Lord of Rheinsberg,
I would like to be the miller of Boltenmühle,
in such an idyllic, beautiful spot...”
Today, Boltenmühle is a popular place
to take a break during a cycling or hiking tour.
Accommodation is available on site,
along with holiday homes and
apartments,
a restaurant serving regional Märkisch cuisine and
a range of recreational activities.
These include, among other things, a wellness area by the
mill pond, a playground, a donkey meadow, a carp pond, a bathing and fishing jetty, as well as bicycle and boat hire.
Numerous cycling and hiking trails start at or
cross near Boltenmühle.
This makes the place ideal as a stopover,
resting place or starting point for your own tours
through the Ruppiner Schweiz.
