Quick start without a complicated GPX import

Scan the QR code and start cycling right away

Select a cycle route on your computer, open it on your smartphone using the QR code and have the route to the start or the nearest suitable entry point displayed.

How the quick-start feature works

From the selected route to your ride in five simple steps.

1

Select a cycle route

Open the route you want and check the course, distance, information and places of interest.

2

Scan the QR code

Scan the QR code on the route details page using your smartphone camera.

3

Share your location

Your browser will ask whether it may use your location.

4

Calculate the connecting route

The routing service calculates a cycle route to the start or to a suitable entry point.

5

Start riding

First follow the connecting route and then continue along the selected cycle route.

Already using your smartphone?

Then you do not need to scan a QR code. Open the route directly on your smartphone and tap the button there to start navigation.

GPX is still available

No GPX import is required for the quick-start feature. Anyone using a Garmin device or another navigation app can still download the GPX file.

Verified cycle route and automatically calculated connecting route

The selected cycle route was ridden and checked on site by Wolfgang and Harald. The route from your current location to the entry point, however, is calculated automatically.

Green: verified cycle route
The prepared route with the published information and places of interest.
Blue: automatically calculated connecting route
The connection from your location to the route start or to a suitable entry point.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an additional app?

The quick-start feature opens in your smartphone browser. No additional app is required for normal use of the website.

What happens if I do not share my location?

Then a connecting route cannot be calculated from your current position. The route details page and any available GPX download will still remain usable.

Is the connecting route also personally checked?

No. The connecting route is calculated automatically. Therefore, always pay attention to traffic signs, current closures and the actual situation on site.
